This photo represents the anticipatory socialization amongst our campus. It is a flyer in my floor’s lounge in my dorm speaking towards mental illness and how to help somebody who is experiencing a mental illness. When entering university, the employees here at King’s have a general understanding that there are some setbacks for people, mentally. Anticipating that there will be some people who already are experiencing a mental illness, or will experience one during school, the employees put up these flyers to prepare students to cope with their mental illness and prepare their peers to help them as well. This is a great way to maintain the socialization in a positive way amongst all students without there being any worry of something bad happening to the students, whether that be a an anxiety attack, poor performance in school, or devastatingly even a suicide.
